I’m excited to finally share our nursery with you guys today! We still have a few more things left to do (another picture to hang and a few more things I might buy for the changing table), but I wanted to share what we have done so far.
I’m so in love with the beautiful furniture my Dad and step-mom bought us for the nursery.
My vision of a turquoise + yellow + white room with some touches of pink came together nicely. I didn’t want anything too girly and I wanted something that will last as she gets older.
I love the “You are my sunshine” board I found on Etsy.
The nursery room is very small and at first I didn’t want the bed to stay (it eventually might move downstairs), but we decided to keep it for now. It’s already been great for folding laundry and I’m guessing I will use it a lot when we transition Allie to her crib and for breastfeeding.
The “guest book” my sister bought for my baby shower looks beautiful above the bed.
We bought the white shelves from Target and my Mom found the changing table holder on a local virtual garage sale for only $15! We were originally going to buy one when we ordered the furniture, but it was going to cost $75.
All of the nic nacs, blankets, crib sheets, etc. around the room were giving to us by our wonderful friends that came to my baby shower.
The whole room looks gorgeous, Sara! And I LOVE those little Cubs booties. I am so happy and excited for you π

Wow, awesome job! It looks like you guys had the room professionally decorated!

Aww, thank you Pete! You don’t need a professional when you have Pinterest and Etsy. π
I’m jealous of the bed in there! Our guest room bed was primarily used as a laundry folding table, so now that it’s gone we have no where to place it. Well, my laundry waiting to be folded is currently sitting next to our crib parts on the floor. π

I’m really glad we kept the bed in the nursery. I’m guessing I’ll be spending many nights in there. π
I love your nursery! It is so cute!
Thanks, Julia! I think it’s my favorite room in the house. π
What a beautiful room! And yes kudos to Pinterest for always having great ideas for EVERYTHING.

Allie’s room looks so cute! I like blue for a girl (I had a blue room as a kid!) π I like the yellow with it too, and love that there’s so much significance to all of the pieces you’ve decorated with.
Very cute! I like the color scheme!

I love the nursery. Those colors are so great! Since we didn’t know what we were having I had originally planned to go with light green but then ended up with gray. I’m so glad we did because now we have just a hint of pink in there and it isn’t too girly. I’m thinking you might love having that bed in there too. You just never know. We put a futon in ours and Rock has spent a few hours some nights in there because Mary has had a few rough nights post feeding. So cute!

The nursery is so cute! I like that’s its not too girly either. I didn’t do any pink or crazy girly stuff for ours either. I actually had a queen size bed in Claire’s room before we moved just because her room was previously the guest room and I LOVED having the bed. I just laid back on the bed and nursed. It was great. I kind of miss it now. It also made a good changing spot & place to do the laundry.

Thank you! I’m so glad we kept the bed in the nursery. I’ve been sleeping in there almost every night so my husband can get sone rest while we breastfeed every 2 hours. There’s no reason we both need to be sleep deprived.
