Pregnancy Update – 31 Weeks

I hope everyone had a safe and happy holiday weekend! We hosted our first 4th of July party at our house with some family and friends. The BBQ started around 4pm and then we went to Gilson Park for Wilmette’s firework show. It was a great night filled with good food and some of our favorite people

Pregnancy Update –  31 Weeks

31 weeks down and only 9 weeks to go. We are officially down to single digits! I felt great this week. I’m still waiting for things to get more difficult, but fingers crossed that things stay this good. I am feeling a little more exhausted, but nothing I can’t handle.

31 weeks

Total weight gain: 22 pounds.

How far along? 31 weeks + 1 day

Due date? September 6, 2015

Baby’s size? Baby Allie is the size of a coconut (around 18 inches and 3.2 lbs.). She can now gain about a half a pound a week from now until birth -eek!

Workouts: Ran 11 miles total for the week.

  • Monday: 2 mile run + 1 mile power walk on the treadmill.
  • Tuesday: 3 mile run w/ CES + 2 mile walk.

  • Friday: Rest day.
  • Saturday: 6 mile walk w/ Tony.
  • Sunday: 2 mile run + 2 mile walk. I had some contractions during the walk portion so I made sure to drink a lot of water and relax the rest of the day.

Maternity Clothes: Still wearing a good mix of both. I’m going to try to avoid buying any more maternity clothes.

Sleep: I didn’t sleep well a couple of nights this week, but I made up for it on Saturday when I slept over 12 hours!

Best moment this week: Our 4th of July party and showing our guests the nursery.

Miss anything? Long runs and sleeping on my stomach.

Movement: She’s doing some wild things in there lately. She likes to dance on my bladder most of the day.

Food cravings: No strong cravings this week.

Anything making you queasy or sick: Nothing.

Gender: Girl!

Name: Allison Kay Larsen

Symptoms: Sleepiness around 4PM, shortness of breath when walking up stairs, feeling hot all the time which is so strange because I’m usually always cold.

Belly Button in or out? In.

Wedding rings on or off? On

Happy or Moody: Happy 99% of the time and getting more and more excited to meet our beautiful baby.

Looking forward to: My ultrasound next week and my baby shower is now less then a month away. 🙂

I’m thinking about checking out the Prenatal Yoga class on Sunday mornings in Libertyville that I found- we should go! It could be a good thing in your last several weeks!

    • It is flying by, especially since it’s summer and we are so busy. Sept 6 will be here in a flash. I can’t wait to see you at the shower. 🙂

  3. I’m impressed that you’re still running (and a little bit jealous!). I’ve had so much abdominal pain since 30 weeks, even walking long distances with a support band hurts. I guess it’s just my muscles stretching!

  4. Look at you running still like a pro! That is impressive.

  5. Allie will gain a half a pound a week?! Wow, relatively speaking that would be like me gaining 25 lbs. a week for the next 9.8 weeks! You will probably be hungry all the time! 🙂
