Thinking Out Loud Thursday 9.16.15

Happy Thursday! Iโ€™m linking up with Amanda to do some thinking out loud.

Thinking-Out-Loud2

  • Yay for a new day! Yesterday was rough. Allie was cranky and did not want to be put down.
  • I am so excited for fall weather and cooler temps. The carseat adaptor for the BOB jogging stroller came yesterday and I can’t wait to spend the next couple of months taking Allie for walks and runs along the beautiful north branch trail.

  • Who watched the Republican debate last night? Thoughts? I find Trump ridiculous and very entertaining.trrump
  • I miss sleep! I’m planning on breastfeeding for a year which means I probably won’t be able to sleep a full 8 hours for the next 11 months.
  • I had Allie 3 weeks + 1 day ago and I still haven’t had any wine. That needs to change ASAP.
  • Baby cuddles are the BEST!

  • This past Sunday I went to AT&T and bought an iPhone 6. My old iPhone was almost 4 years old and the camera was crap. Since I take pictures using my phone 99% of the time I’m very happy to be able to take better pictures of Allie.
  • I still miss running. Not a big surprise there.

What’s on your mind today?

  2. I love your reason to upgrade your phone for the camera ๐Ÿ™‚ That is always my reason as well, even without an adorable baby to photograph ha Hope you can get some rest soon, even if it’s not a full 8 hours at once.

  3. Can you please get Allie to spit up on Trump? That would be awesome.

  4. Too bad you can’t outsource Allie’s feeding at least once or twice a week and have a couple glasses of wine, sleep in and then go for a run! Oh well, it’s good for mommy/baby bonding and will likely be over all too quickly as she grows up! ๐Ÿ™‚ Yes, please get here soon cooler temps!

  5. I imagine the sleep deprivation will be hard but it will be worth it for your little one!

  6. I also got an iPhone 6 to take better baby photos (and have more storage)- priorities!!!

I hope you can still gets goodnight sleep despite breastfeeding – I have friends who do both!

  7. Aw, the breastfeeding and lack of sleep will get easier. I promise! Your body adjusts. Once Little Miss started sleeping through the night, I felt all out of whack again because I wasn’t used to 7-8 straight hours. hah! Funny how that works.

  8. I agree about the camera! I upgraded my phone (and bought a “real” camera) after my daughter was born. That should be on the standard getting-ready-for-baby to-do list! Which reminds me that I really should upgrade my phone again before Baby #2 in December…

  9. Do you know when it is okay to run with an infant in a jogger? I have read different opinions about when it is okay, given their neck strength. When do you plan to start running with Allie?

Good call on getting an upgrade on the phone. I am due for a new phone, so maybe I should head down to Verizon sometime soon.

I had a tiny glass of wine right after feeding the other night. It hit me hard!!!

    • lol the wine hit me hard too.

We are going to keep Allie in the car seat until she is 6 months old and then we’ll put her in the jogger without it. It will be right around spring time which is perfect timing.

  10. Lol’ing at not sleeping for a year. I’m still nursing my 16 month old and we’re trying to wean a bit now because he’s still up 2 or 3 times a night. My husband’s cousin’s son was about 18 months when he slept through the night. NOT TO SCARE YOU though, because the majority of decent sleeping children sleep through the night regardless of nursing around 3 or 4 months. I just got into a habit of nursing and rocking him to sleep, and he’s hooked still haha

    • You are scaring me! Lol Especially since I’m letting her fall asleep on my chest during the night. I’m loving it right now but I hope she’ll be able to fall asleep in her crib eventually.

  11. I love the Bob adapter! Mary is going through a phase where she doesn’t want to be put down and while I love snuggles, there are times when I just need to get stuff done. Oh and Trump? Ugh, it is just so hard to watch. Enjoy your baby time. She is just too cute!
