Weekend Highlights 11.9.15

It was a busy one! Friday started off with cuddles from this little girl.

Allie

I couldn’t leave her out of the weekend highlights. ๐Ÿ™‚

Friday night was our coaches meeting for Winter Warriors with CES. It was so nice to see all my friends, catch up, and get excited for the next training cycle. We have a lot of great things planned for our runners including a mindful eating clinic I’m conducting right before the holidays. Yay!

Tony went to Milwaukee with his two best friends so I planned a girls day on Saturday. My friend Carrie invited me and my Mom to the Grove Craft Faire in Glenviewย and it was fantastic. There were 4 large houses filled with crafts, holiday goodies, and one house dedicated to baked goods and sweets.

I wasn’t planning on buying much but when Carrie found a snowman with Allison carved into it, I had to buy it! it might be too early for Christmas decorations but this gem might stay out all year ย ๐Ÿ˜‰

After the craft fair it was baking time! We went to my sister’s house Saturday night to bake and get ready for Lylah’s 3rd birthday party

Sunday was party time! I didn’t get many pictures because I had Allie in my arms most of the time.

Lylah loves Daniel the Tiger so that was the theme of the party.

So many people came out to celebrate Lylah (I’m guessing 50). This little girl sure is loved. We had a party room and rented out a gym with a bunch of toys so the kids could run around and play together.

It was a great weekend!

  1. I was sad to miss seeing people at the meeting–I was really sad to miss you and Alex–but I just couldn’t do it. I was in too much physical and mental discomfort. I’m hoping that I’ll be better in time for the majority of coaching, but right now, I’m still just trying to push through. So sad that I missed you!

  3. That snowman is too cute! As is Allie in her cozy hoodie outfit. (I never know what to call various items of baby clothes…)
That is a serious birthday party! I think we’re planning on 5 guests for my daughter’s bday next week.

    • I don’t know what to call it either. Ha! I was shocked by how people came. We’ll probably just have family for Allie’s first birthday party.

  4. How cute is that pic of Allison?! That craft faire looks like so much fun. I have a bit of a holiday addiction. Mary and I went to Target to get a few things on Saturday and there were so many holiday decorations in the dollar bin that I couldn’t miss ๐Ÿ˜‰ I told her not to tell her dad and we hid them with the rest of the decorations. I am hoping Rock doesn’t notice they are new when we start putting them out!

    • Aww, I’m obsessed with the holidays. Allie & I saw all the holiday goodies at Target yesterday and of course we bought a few inexpensive items. ๐Ÿ™‚

  5. 50 people for Lylah’s birthday party? Wow, she sure is popular! Love the Allie pic and the Allison snow man! Maybe I’ll see you with your CES Winter Warrior runners along the lake this winter?

  6. Aww that snowman is so adorable! We didn’t buy much of anything for my son’s first Christmas, but really, what does a bitty baby need? We bought him one meaningful book (You Are My Sunshine, a song my parents sang to me and I sing to him) and that was it.
