My baby is 7 months old! Pretty soon we will be celebrating her first birthday.
Allie is the happiest baby and such a joy to be around. She smiles whenever anyone looks at her and it melts my heart.
What’s new this month:
- rolling all around the living room
- sitting up unassisted
- swimming for the first time
Likes:
- putting everything in her mouth
- playing with tags
- sleeping on her stomach
- her music ball that rolls
- grabbing faces
- being in her jumper
- smiling
Dislikes:
- being hungry
- finishing her bottle or food
Eating: She’s drinking 24 oz. of formula each day and I’m feeding her solids usually twice a day. I’ve given her: banana, peas, peanut butter, pear, sweet potatoes, beets, eggs, avocado, apple, and oatmeal. Her favorite is banana and peanut butter mixed. I bought her the 360 sippy cup a few days ago so I’m going to start giving her a few ounces of water after she eats solids.
Sleep: She is sleeping in her crib for 10-12 hours each night, but she recently started waking up around 4am to eat. I’ll give her a 4oz. bottle and then she’ll go back to sleep until 7am. She takes a nap around 9:30am. and then again around 3:00pm. She’ll nap for 30-45 minutes. Since she goes to bed at 6:30pm we started skipping the third nap of the day.
She’s wearing size 3 diapers and 6-9 month clothes.
Allie and I are staying busy! I try my best to get out and about and do something fun with every day, whether it be attending a Stroller Stride class, going to baby play dates or walk outside, attending library story time or visiting family, etc. Allie seems to thrive off new experiences and staying busy.

Once again, Allie and Axel have a lot in common. Tags, bananas, and swimming for the win! Although, banana sure does cause some constipation issues. We definitely try to balance it with prunes or pear. 🙂 Axel is “almost” sitting up unassisted. One of these days. Any day now our kiddos will be crawling and on the move!! Eeeek!

SOOO cute! Love those smiles! I haven’t started food yet. I should get on that! lol I have read recently about introducing peanut butter early though so I think I may do that! I just worry about the thickness of it.
I was worried too. I use 1 tsp and mix it really well with the banana so it’s not thick at all

What a sweetie! Allison sounds like a little angel and, wow, does time fly. My youngest is 10 months… how can his first birthday be coming so soon?! I wish he could take some napping lessons from your little lady. He fights structure of any sort! Parenting sure is an adventure – there are new things to learn with each child 🙂

I’m so glad to see Mary isn’t the only one wanting a bottle at 4 or 5 am. Kind of frustrating and our travels don’t make sleep very easy. Your little girl is so adorable!! I love that you gave her peanut butter. I’m so nervous with all of our NYC students who are allergic. Our pediatrician assures us it will be fine and we handle nuts and butter near her. But it still scares me. You are really one awesome mom. And she is one awesome baby!

Sweet baby!! Time is seriously flying, it’s crazy! I think watching them discover new things has to be the best thing ever – their little eyes just light up! I’ve heard good things about introducing PB early on, so good for you! We plan to do the same!
