Pregnancy Update Baby #2 – 36 Weeks

Pregnancy Update Baby #2 – 36 Weeks

This week was a really great week! I’m trying to fit in as many fun activities as we can before Logan arrives. On Saturday, Tony and I went to Chicago for a date night. It was only the second date we’ve been on without Allie. We usually bring her with us when we go out to eat, but it was nice to have quality time together. My Mom watched Allie from 12:30pm until we got home at 9pm. I was worried Allie wouldn’t go to sleep for my Mom, but she only cried for about a minute and quickly fell asleep. Tony and I went to Old Town Social for lunch to watch the Wisconsin Badger game, walked around Old Town, went to Second City for a comedy show, walked to the Starbucks on North Ave. where we met, had dinner at Kamehachi (we ate here the night Tony proposed), and ended the night with ice cream. We had such a great time together!

The nachos at Old Town Social were amazing!

On Thursday, my Mom and I took Allie to Apple Holler for apple picking. We arrived around 11am and it wasn’t too busy which was nice. We picked apples for an hour, ate lunch at their cute restaurant, and then walked around with Allie for awhile afterwards. They have a lot of fun fall activities for adults and kids. We’ll definitely be going back next year.

This apple cider donut might be the best donut I’ve ever had!

Pregnancy Update –  36 Weeks

We are almost ready for Logan to arrive! All of his clothes are washed and put away, my hospital bag is ready, our guest room is ready (it’s where I’ll be sleeping with Logan for the first few weeks so he doesn’t wake up Allie), we have his car seat installed in my car, and I should be getting my double BOB from my Mom, twin sis, MIL, and step-mom soon!

I had my 37 week OB appointment yesterday and they said I’m already 3 centimeters dilated so he could come any day now or it could be another week. I have my next appointment this Tuesday and I’m going to schedule an induction date just in case. I’m worried about him getting too big so I want to schedule the induction for 39 weeks.

How far along? 37 weeks while writing this.

Due date? October 7, 2017

Total weight gain:  I think around 28-30 pounds.

Baby’s size? Baby Logan is the size of a large cantaloupe (around 21 inches and 6 lbs.).

Workouts:

  • Monday: 2 mile run + 2 mile walk
  • Tuesday: 2 mile run + 2 mile walk
  • Wednesday: 60 min power walk on the treadmill + an upper body workout
  • Thursday: 2 mile run + 2 mile walk in the afternoon
  • Friday: 4 mile run (2 miles with Kristen & 2 miles with Melissa)
  • Saturday: 4 mile run with the Glenview runners (I’m sad to be missing the CES 20 miler)
  • Sunday: Rest

Maternity Clothes: Still wearing the same outfits over and over again.

Sleep: I slept really well this past week. I’m so exhausted by the end of the day so I end up passing out pretty quickly.

Best moments this week: Date night in Chicago and going to Apple Holler with my Mom and Allie.

Miss anything? Coaching with CES, wine, and running faster.

Movement: His movements have really slowed down. I was worried at my last appointment so they did a non stress test and ultrasound. They are a little worried about his heart rate being low, but they think it’s just because he doesn’t have a lot of room to move which could make him stressed.

Food cravings: Pizza and avocado, but I don’t have strong cravings for anything. I think my cravings are a lot less than when I was pregnant with Allie.

Anything making you queasy or sick: Nothing this week

Gender: Boy!

Name: Logan Henry Larsen

Symptoms: Feeling a little more tired than usual, peeing every hour, gum pain, and cramping/contractions.

Belly Button in or out? In.

Wedding rings on or off? On

Happy or Moody: Happy and feeling less emotional. For a while I was crying most nights thinking about the big changes ahead and Allie sharing my time, but I’m feeling ready for all of it! I think Allie will be jealous in the beginning, but she’s going to love her baby brother and scream “baby” in a high pitch voice just like she does when she sees any baby. 🙂

Looking forward to: Meeting baby Logan!
