I can’t believe we officially have a 6 year old!
I am having a hard time wrapping my head around that Allie’s no longer a baby or a toddler, she’s just a kid who turned 6 and who started kindergarten this week.
We had a very special day on her birthday. I hired a babysitter to watch Logan and Lillie so Allie and I could get our nails done, go to party city to pick out things for her party, go to Culver’s for lunch, and then ended at Target. It was so nice to spend quality time with her.
Once we took the babysitter home, Grandma Wendy arrived. We spend a couple of hours with her and then Allie and I got some more one-on-one time at her meet the teacher night at her school. I was so glad we were able to meet her teacher and see her school/classroom. I wasn’t able to see her 4k classroom because of covid so this was very nice.
Once we got home we had Glass Nickel pizza, had cupcakes, and then opened presents. Allie said her favorite present was the Sofia The First suitcase I got her.
Sunday was her birthday party and it was rainbow-themed. We invited 6 of her neighbor friends and the girls had a blast!
The kids first played in the rainbow sprinkler and then painted unicorn figurines.
After painting it was pinata, cake, and presents. Allie had the best day!
It was a busy week because the Wednesday after her party Allie started kindergarten!!! She was so excited and I was very sad. lol
She had the best day, but she was exhausted!
The bus picks her up at 7:15am and drops her off at 2:55pm so it’s a long day. I cried when she got on the bus and I’m still not used to her being gone all day. It feels like a big piece of my heart is missing. But I’m happy for her and I know she’s going to thrive this year.

– favorite foods: cinnamon raisin toast with cream cheese, strawberries, dyno chicken, zbars, and spaghetti. She’s still not into veggies right now.

– favorite books: Dear Girl, The Kissing Hand, Fancy Nancy
– favorite stuffed animal: kitty cat
– favorite movie: McKenna – gymnastics movie
– favorite animal: kitty cats and dogs
– favorite friends: Eloise and Charlotte who live across the street from us
– wake up/bedtime: wakes up around 8 am and goes to bed around 8 pm. But now I need to wake her up at 6:30 for school

– drawing, painting, crafting, online art classes – she’s our little artist
– playing with our neighbors
– swinging on the swing set. She learned how to swing really well once we got our swing set
