Geneva Lake Shore Path

Geneva Lake Shore Path

I am what some people would call a “doer.” I get involved with anything and everything. I like trying new things, meeting new people, and I keep my schedule pretty packed. This can be a good thing and a bad thing.

Because I’m this way, relaxing does not come natural to me but it’s something I’ve been working on.

This past Sunday, I went to the Geneva Lake Shore Path in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. The temps were in the low 80’s with a cool breeze coming off the water and it was a perfect day of relaxation.

The path goes along the entire shore of Lake Geneva through everyone’s backyards that live on the lake. It was a very nice walk and the entire path was well maintained. Sometimes the path was paved, sometimes cobblestone, other times dirt or grass.

Even more striking than the water and buildings were the towering oak trees. You don’t see a lot of this in Florida.

It was refreshing to spend the day outdoors without technology, without any distractions. It was just me and my Mom talking, breathing the fresh air, staring at the sparkling blue water, and enjoying each others company.

Donโ€™t forget to enter my raffle to win Cubs tickets. Iโ€™m proud to be running with DetermiNation and Iโ€™m shooting to raise $1,000. Please consider supporting me with a donation. My Fundraising Page.

I’ve walked that shore path many times. It’s so unique that you can walk across the lawn of each house; and it provides such a different perspective of the lake.

  2. What a GLORIOUS picture of that water!!!! OMG my mind is soooo there right now. The trees were pretty too, but I’m in the country backwoods of NC, haha…I don’t see enough water! ๐Ÿ™‚ And yes, being tech-free is very nice at times!! I’m glad you and your mom had some quiet time, too. ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. Wow, so pretty! I have a hard time relaxing, but once I get into summer mode (when I’m not teaching any more), I get really good at it–bordering on lazy! ๐Ÿ™‚

  4. Beautiful! Can’t wait to go with you next time ๐Ÿ™‚

  5. What a beautiful path! I love running along trails like that and am so glad I have the Tow path here in d.c. to run along otherwise I would be really missing Lake Michigan!

I hope you do have a wonderfully relaxing time ๐Ÿ™‚
