Happy Sunday! Tony and I just got back from our first childbirth class. This class was mostly focused on breastfeeding and it was very informative, but the instructor was a little boring. Yesterday I had coaching with CES and then I joined Tony in the yard for some gardening. I can tell I’m getting further along in this pregnancy because I felt exhausted by the time I spent 2 hours planting flowers. The exhaustion might be because I’ve finally reached the third trimester! YAY!
Pregnancy Update – 27 Weeks
How far along? 27 weeks + 0 days
Due date? September 6, 2015
Baby’s size? Baby Allie is the size of a large cucumber (around 15 inches and 2.2 lbs.).
Workouts: Ran 16 miles total for the week.
- Monday: 2 mile run + 25 min incline walk on the treadmill – I had a lot of pelvic pressure during this run
- Tuesday: 2 mile run + 30 min incline walk on the treadmill
- Wednesday: 4 mile run to celebrate National Running Day
- Thursday: 3 mile walk w/ Maxie
- Friday: 3 mile run + 1 mile walk + upper body weights
- Saturday: 5 mile run coaching with CES
- Sunday: Rest
Maternity clothes? Yes, but I’m wearing my regular workout clothes. I still need to buy a few maxi dresses.
Sleep: Sleeping 8-10 hours each night.
Best moment this week: Our baby furniture was delivered on Friday! My Dad and step-mom spoiled us and bought us extremely nice furniture that will hopefully last forever. I spent Friday evening washing and organizing all of the baby clothes my Mom gave us. She’s already bought Allie a full years worth of clothes! 🙂 This whole baby thing really started to feel real on Friday when I was listening to music in the nursery and putting away the baby clothes.
Miss Anything? Running without any pelvic pressure.
Movement: I’m feeling big movements at night and when I’m sitting still.
Food cravings: I can’t get enough watermelon!
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nothing this week!
Gender: Girl!
Name: Allison Kay Larsen
Symptoms: Pelvic pressure when I run.
Belly Button in or out? In.
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody: This week I’ve been happy, but a little emotional. I usually never cry and I think I cried to Tony about silly things twice this week.
Looking forward to: Our next ultrasound at 32 weeks.
Sorry to hear your child birth class was boring. Maybe if you were teaching it, like you do at your Fleet Feet seminars, it would be more exciting! “Breastfeeding for Runners” would be more popular and interesting for sure! How cool that you are getting the nursery all ready and putting away Allie’s millions of clothes from your mom. The excitement builds…! 🙂

LOL, breastfeeding for runners would be a pretty interesting seminar at Fleet Feet! We actually have a handful of pregnant runners training out the of the South Loop store so it might be pretty popular.
Our childbirth class was really boring too. But we took a separately breastfeeding class that was just one session for a few hours with a different instructor and that was a lot more engaging. She made it really interactive which helped keep us awake, since it was 6-10p on a weeknight!
The nursery is looking so beautiful, what a lovely room you’ve turned it into! 🙂

Your garden is beautiful.
You’ve trained way more than I did this past week. Oh snap! Go Sara 🙂 At least I ran a 10k race this past weekend.
LOL – thanks, Agnes! You sure know how to make a pregnant lady feel good. Congrats on the 10k race!

LOL, I was serious. I’ve been slacking in the exercise department for a while now. I have to get back into my routine.
That yellow rug is too cute! Are your walls like a blue/grey/teal color? Love it!!
