Pregnancy Update – 34 Weeks

Pregnancy Update – 34 Weeks

Happy Monday! How was your weekend? We ordered pizza twice, spent the day at the pool on Saturday, had a small BBQ with my Mom Saturday night, and then I had a wonderful brunch at Hub 51 with a few of my girls friends on Sunday morning.

Pregnancy Update –  34 Weeks

34 Weeks pregnant

We have less than 6 weeks until we get to meet baby Allie! It’s starting to feel like we are in the home stretch.

The beginning of this week started off rough. I was exhausted and nauseous on Monday and Tuesday, but I felt back to normal the rest of the week. Somedays it feels like I’m huge and have lots of pregnancy symptoms and then other days I don’t think about being pregnant that much. I read a lot of pregnancy blogs where women have lots of symptoms and I feel like my pregnancy has been so easy compared to them. I’m extremely thankful for that!

Total weight gain: 24 pounds.

How far along? 34 weeks + 1 day

Due date? September 6, 2015

Baby’s size? Baby Allie is the size of a pineapple (around 20 inches and 4 lbs. 12.).

Workouts:

  • Monday: 45 min power walk on the treadmill
  • Tuesday: 2 mie run coaching w/ CES + 2 mile walk
  • Wednesday: 3 mile run/walk intervals
  • Thursday: 3.5 mile walk
  • Friday: 3 mile run/walk intervals + upper body weights
  • Saturday: 2 mile run + 2 mile walk
  • Sunday: Rest

Maternity Clothes: Still wearing the same outfits over and over again.

Sleep: I’m getting around 8 hours each night. My mind starts spinning with baby t0-do’s so sometimes it takes me a little longer to fall asleep.

Best moments this week: Bunch with my CES girl friends. They spoiled me with swaddle blankets, a cute outfit for Allie and this beautiful Mezuzah to put on Allie’s door.

My second favorite part of the week was spending time at the pool. The whole time I was laying in the sun Allie was kicking like crazy. I’ve never felt her move so much.

Miss anything? Coaching the Saturday long runs with CES.

Movement: Lots of movements, especially at night. She’s head down so I feel her kicking. I haven’t felt any rib kicks yet, but I’ve heard that might start soon.

Food cravings: Pizza, fruit, and peanut butter and jelly.

Anything making you queasy or sick: Only when I let myself get too hungry or if I eat too much.

Gender: Girl!

Name: Allison Kay Larsen

Symptoms: Peeing every hour, gum pain (it was really bad on Saturday), and some nights I have spine pain.

Belly Button in or out? In.

Wedding rings on or off? On

Happy or Moody: I was moody on Monday and Tuesday when I felt nauseous, but I was happy the rest of the week.

Looking forward to: My baby shower in less than a week! I can’t wait to see all my friends and family.

Baby items purchased/received: My Mom and twin sister Katie bought us the city mini stroller and I absolutely love it!

  1. The baby in the ribs is a wild one. I get it in the car and it always comes as a shocker. I also feel your pain on the coaching side. This was my first week not doing the full distance with the team and I was bummed. But they are all so great about it. Having my husband coaching with me makes it a bit easier. Keep up the great work!!

  2. Hope all of your pains go away soon. Have fun at your baby shower! Laying by the pool all day sounds fantastic. I need to do that soon before summer is over. 🙂

  4. You ARE in the home stretch! Glad to hear things are feeling mostly easy, and I hope the spine pain eases up. Maybe there’s some stretches/yoga poses you could do that would help? You need your sleep (since you won’t get it in about 6 weeks)!

  5. Oh my goodness, only 6 weeks to go!?!?!? How quickly the time has been flying. I am so glad to hear that things have been going so smoothly for you and that you’ve been getting 8 hours of sleep each night! I love that mezuzah – it is really, really beautiful. And I crave pizza and fruit all the time. =P
