My sweet baby girl is 2 months old already! Allie is becoming quite the little person. Some days it feels like she was just born and other days it feels like she’s been here forever.
I love her more and more each day and this month was better than the last.
Likes:
- sleeping on mommy
- being lifted high in the air by daddy
- looking at lights
- sucking on her pacifier
- taking a bath
- loud noises
- looking at the TV (already?!)
- sitting in her swing
Dislikes:
- changing her diaper
- having clothes put over her head
- tummy time
- sitting still, she wants to be moving
I love veggies like my Mommy!
Schedule: The eat-play-sleep cycle I tried the first month wasn’t really working for us. I love the ideas in the Baby Wise book, but every time I tried to keep her awake after she ate should would get over tired and completely skip her nap all together. We’re going to try again when she’s 3 months old. Lately, she’s been waking up around 7am, taking a long nap from 10:30am-2:00pm, maybe another 20 minute nap around 4:00pm, and then we try to get her to sleep for the night at 8:00pm.
Eating: During the day she’s eating every 2-3 hours and after dinner she starts to cluster feed and wants to eat every hour.
Sleep: She still loves sleeping on Mommy’s chest and won’t sleep in her crib. She usually sleeps 4 hours straight at night and wakes 1-2 times to eat. She has slept for 6 hours straight a couple of times and we really hope it happens more often this month.
She is 9.5 pounds (6th percentile) and 22.5 inches long (27th percentile).
She’s able to turn her head from side to side during tummy time.
She’s wearing size 1 diapers and we just switched her to 0-3 month clothes.
She makes weird squeaky noises.
She started smiling at us.
Her eyes are becoming light brown.
The hair on the top of head looks strawberry blonde in the light and it looks brown in the back.

Happy two months! I had to give up on some of the Baby Wise advice too. We have a schedule that is working for us now, and I can’t let the books get to my head!

I’m glad I’m not the only one. We have a pretty good natural routine & I don’t want to mess that up.
