Logan – 2 Month Update

Logan is already 2 months old! It’s going by really fast, but it also seems like it’s been a long 2 months. I’m still very sleep deprived and still figuring out how to adjust to 2 kids.

I love him more and more each day and this month was better than the last. Things are definitely getting a little easier and I’m getting used to living on 4 hours of sleep.

Likes:

• sleeping in the Tula or swing
• being bounced
• looking at lights and fans
• sucking on a pacifier
• music
• listening to mommy sing

Dislikes:

• changing his diaper
• being hungry
• tummy time
• sitting still, he wants to be moving

Schedule: We do not have a set schedule yet. This is very different than what we did with Allie. I LOVE schedules and routine, but I’m still in survival mode so I haven’t put a lot of thought into creating a schedule for Logan yet. Right now he usually wakes up around 6 or 7 am to eat. He’ll be up for an hour or two, I’ll put him in the swing and he’ll sleep for two hours, around 10 am he’ll eat again and he’ll be up for an hour or two, and then I try to put him down for a nap when Allie naps at 12:30-1pm or he sleeps on me in the Tula. At 2-3p he’ll eat and we do tummy time and cuddle on the floor before Allie gets up. At 3-4pm we usually have an activity or playdate for Allie and he’ll sleep through it. By 5 pm he is up and hungry so I’ll feed him right before we eat and then he’ll hang out it in the kitchen with us in the rock n’ play. By 6:30-7pm he is tired so I’ll wear him in the Tula while we hang out in the basement. I’ll feed him around 8:30-9pm and try to go to sleep with him then. He is still waking up to eat at night every 2-2.5 hours.

Eating: I’m breastfeeding him every 2-3 hours and I give him a bottle of formula around 7 pm every night.

Sleep: He naps either on me in the Tula, in the swing or rock n play. I have transitioned him out of the rock n play at night and he is now sleeping next to me in bed. I’m hoping to try the pack n play at night when he is 3 months. Allie was already sleeping longer stretches than Logan by 2 months.

He is 13 pounds 2oz (64th percentile) and 23.5 inches long (57th percentile). Allie was only 9 1/2 pounds at 2 months!

He is able to turn his head from side to side during tummy time.

He can roll over from tummy to back when he wants to.

He is wearing size 2 diapers and 3-6 month clothes.

He has started smiling a lot.

His eyes are definitely blue and they are gorgeous!
