About My Pregnancy

Is this your first pregnancy? Yes!

When did you find out you were pregnant? December 29, 2014. My first beta test at the Fertility Center of Illinois.

Was it planned? Yes, we did IVF so we spent a whole lot of money on this baby.

What was your first reaction? Oh, thank goodness!!! I was shaking and never felt so happy in my life (other than my wedding day).

Who was with you when you found out? I was alone at Panera Bread. My IVF nurse called my husband because I was too nervous to get the call. Tony said he wasn’t going to tell me until I got home that evening, but he ended up calling me because he couldn’t wait to tell me the good news. He asked what I was doing and I told him I had just ordered a salad from Panera and he said I better go up and order more food because I was eating for two!!!! 🙂 I was shaking and crying and everyone around me looked at me like I was crazy.

Who was the first person you told? I called my Mom, twin sister, Katie, Dad & step-mom, Marcella, mother in-law, Wendy, step-sister, Whitney and then texted all my family and friends who were waiting for the news.

How did your families react? Everyone was extremely happy. My Mom had the best reaction because she started sobbing on the phone.

How far along are you? 11 weeks + 2 days

What was your first symptom? Ok, slight TMI here, but my boobs seemed to double in size over night.

What is your due date? September 6, 2015.

Do you know the sex of the baby? Nope, but I can’t wait to find out!

Have you picked out names? Yes, but I don’t think we’re going to share until we know the sex of the baby.

How much weight have you gained? About 5lbs, my weight jumped two pounds this last week. I feel like I already look super pregnant compared to most people at 11 weeks.

Do you have stretch marks? Nope, but I’m not holding my breath. My Mom got them pretty bad and so did my twin sister.

Have you felt the baby move? No, but I can’t wait!

Have you heard the heartbeat? No, but we see the heart beating every time we have an ultrasound.

About Baby Larsen

Home or hospital birth? Hospital. We already know we’ll be having our baby at the Northshore Highland Park Hospital.

Natural or medicated birth? If I can have the baby without being medicated then that’s great, but if I can’t I’m fine with getting an epidural.

Who will be in the delivery room with you? Tony, my Mom, and hopefully my twin-sister, Katie. My Mom and I were with Katie when she gave birth to Lylah.

Will you breastfeed? That is definitely the plan! I’m aiming for 6 months to a year.

Do you think you’ll need a c-section? I have no idea.

Will you cry when you hold the baby for the first time? Oh I’m sure! All I think about is holding my beautiful baby.

What’s the first thing you might say to her/him? Probably…”you’re perfect and I love you so much!”

Would you let someone videotape the birth? HA! No, thank you!

Are you excited or scared about the birth? I’m just excited, not scared at all.
