Pregnancy Update Baby #2 – 28 Weeks

Pregnancy Update – 28 Weeks

Only 12 more weeks until we meet baby Logan! My doctor thinks I’ll go early with this baby so it might be closer to 8-10 weeks before we meet him. That seems like a really long time right now.

I’m still feeling good, but I’m definitely getting more tired. I’m not sure if it’s the heat/humidity and chasing after a toddler, but I’m exhausted by the end of the afternoon. We stay really busy in the morning (running, stroller strides, play dates), but I’m ready to lay around at home by 4pm.

I was very happy to read that if the baby is born anytime after the end of this week, he has 95% chance of survival.

How far along? 28 weeks + 6 days

Due date? October 7, 2017

Baby’s size? Baby Logan is the size of a head of cauliflower (around 16 inches and 2.5 lbs.).

Workouts: Ran 21 miles + 2 Stroller Stride classes + lots of walking

  • Monday: 3.5 mile power walk on the treadmill
  • Tuesday: 2 mile run + Stroller Strides
  • Wednesday: 2 mile run + 2 mile walk
  • Thursday: 4 mile walk with Tony & Allie + Stroller Strides
  • Friday: 3 mile run
  • Saturday: 10 mile run coaching with CES
  • Sunday: Rest, but we spent the day downtown Chicago so we did lots of walking
Maternity clothes? Yes, but I’m wearing my regular workout clothes.

Sleep: I have pregnancy insomnia so I toss and turn a lot and I’ve been waking up to pee 3-4 times per night.

Best moment this week: I had a few favorite moments this week:

  • My Mom watching Allie so I can work on my Coach Sara business. I have a new 6 week transformation program coming out soon. 🙂
  • Running 10 miles with CES

  • Spending time with family downtown and bringing the kids to Maggie Daley Park

Miss Anything? Wine and going for a long run without needing to stop and pee.

Movement: Lots of movement, especially at night.

Food cravings: Watermelon, eggs, pizza, and frozen yogurt. I’m craving all the same things I craved while pregnant with Allie.

Anything making you queasy or sick: Nothing this week! :)

Gender: Boy

Name: Logan Henry Larsen

Symptoms: Pelvic pressure when I run, peeing every hour, sensitive gums, and my huge baby bump.

Belly Button in or out? In.

Wedding rings on or off? On

Happy or Moody: I feel very emotional. I have a lot more anxiety with this pregnancy than I did with Allie.

Looking forward to: Our family trip next week!

  2. So exciting! I was just telling my husband that now that we are at 29 weeks I feel like every week is a nice countdown towards good things. It has gone so fast and so slow all at the same time. You look fabulous!
