Christmas Eve 2015

Christmas Eve 2015

Merry Christmas Eve!

We are busy getting ready for our Christmas Eve party. Our guests should be showing up around 4:00pm and I have some time to kill so I thought I would write a quick post.

Merry Christmas from Allie!

This is the first year in my adult life that I won’t be exercising on a big holiday. In past years I thought it was important to stick to my routine and kick off the holiday on a healthy foot, but this year I have more important things to do and I’m proud of myself for slowing down and enjoying down time with my family. Don’t get me wrong, I think exercise is great and I LOVE running, but instead of waking up super early to get a run in I decided to stay in bed and cuddle with my baby. These are the memories I want to remember when looking back on Allie’s childhood.

Tony woke up early to prep the turkey! It’s going to be 50 degrees today so we decided to cook it on the grill. I’m super excited about this because my Dad grills the turkey on Thanksgiving every year and it comes out moist and flavorful.

We stuffed it with rosemary, oranges, onions, and an apple.

I’m in charge of the pumpkin pie, roasted veggies, potatoes, and stuffing.

I’ll be cooking, getting our house ready, and then packing this afternoon. We will celebrate Christmas morning with my Mom (grandma) and then we’re off to Green Bay, WI to celebrate with Tony’s family. It’s been far too long since we’ve been up there and everyone’s really excited to celebrate Allie’s first Christmas.

Merry Christmas! I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday!
