Pregnancy Update – 36 Weeks

Pregnancy Update – 36 Weeks

We (my Mom and I) are trying to get as many fun activities we can get in before Allie comes and before the summer ends. Last week we went on the architecture tour, yesterday we went to the movies to see Ricki and the Flash, today we went to the Kohl Children’s Museum with Katie and Lylah, and this coming Wednesday we are taking Lylah to a petting zoo in Wisconsin. We’re having lots of fun!

Pregnancy Update –  36 Weeks

36 Weeks

We are almost ready for Allie to arrive! All of her clothes are washed and put away, her hospital bag is packed, and the stroller, rock n’ play, swing, and crib are put together. The only thing left to do in the nursery is to hang a couple of things on the wall.

At the end of this week I am considered Full Term. This third trimester seems to be flying by and I can’t believe I won’t be pregnant for much longer. Part of me can’t wait to be done and finally meet Allie, but I’m also a little sad for this stage to end. I’m going to miss feeling her move inside me.

How far along? 36 weeks

Due date? September 6, 2015

Total weight gain:  27 pounds

Baby’s size? Baby Allie is the size of a large cantaloupe (around 21 inches and 6 lbs.).

Workouts:

  • Monday: 2 mile run
  • Tuesday: 4 mile run
  • Wednesday: 55 min power walk on the treadmill
  • Thursday: 6 mile walk (3 walking around UIC + 3 w/ Mom & Max)
  • Friday: 2 mile run + 2 mile walk
  • Saturday: 4 mile walk along the lake in Evanston w/ Tony
  • Sunday: Rest

Maternity Clothes: Still wearing the same outfits over and over again.

Sleep: I slept pretty well this week. Now that we have everything ready for Allie I’m a lot less anxious so I’m able to fall asleep easier.

Best moments this week: Running 4 miles with CES and going to the Kohl Children’s Museum.

Miss anything? Wine, coaching the Saturday long runs with CES, tough workouts, and sleeping on my stomach.

Movement: Somedays I feel her moving like crazy and other days I feel her a lot less. After running 4 miles on Tuesday night I didn’t feel her move at all. I woke up at 3:00AM freaked out that I still hadn’t felt her move so I drank some cold orange juice and the sugar must have woke her up because I finally felt her move.

I’ve started to feel Braxton Hicks contractions more often this week. It feels more like cramping, than contractions right now.

Food cravings: Pizza, fruit, french fries, and PB&J.

Anything making you queasy or sick: Nothing this week

Gender: Girl!

Name: Allison Kay Larsen

Symptoms: Feeling more tired than usual, peeing every hour, headaches, and gum pain.

Belly Button in or out? In.

Wedding rings on or off? On

Happy or Moody: Happy everyday except Saturday. I felt on edge all day and every little thing was annoying me. I just want the house to stay perfectly clean and no one to touch anything. Hah!

Looking forward to: My next doctor’s appt. tomorrow. They are going to check to see if I’m dilated or effaced.

Baby items purchased/received: My sweet sister in-law bought me one of my favorite gifts – a Tula baby carrier! I can’t wait to put Allie in it. I also received the sweetest surprise gift from Carter’s.
